“By joining together the professional skills of Family Service and local school districts, Partners for Children produces measurable results in improving the lives of students and their families– a great success!”
~Mike Moots, Director
United Way of Southern Chautauqua County
The Drop Out Prevention Program or DOPP was designed specifically to work with students, their families, school and community resources to enhance the ability of students with emotional health challenges be successful in the school setting. Success in the school setting can lead to community success whereby the entire community benefits. Social workers and Mental Health Therapists offer a wide variety of services to help this happen.
Family Service of the Chautauqua Region has a long history of successful work in various school systems throughout the region in our Partners For Children Program. |

In 2002 Family Service was recognized by the United Way in Albany as a “Collaboration that Works” . The program was the subject of an Intensive assessment by Helen Castle of HSC Consulting, LLC, reflecting a positive impact on the individuals served.
Family Service officials said the study shows the impact of specialized mental health services offered with immediate accessibility is far reaching.
The reduction of stress in the discreet environment of any campus delivers a direct, profound and broad based impact on the entire school population, in addition to addressing the specific needs of clients and their families, it says in the study.
This results in stronger, healthier and safer communities, in which families can live and grow.
